Adam Friedman has been involved in the music entertainment space for over 25 years as an attorney, executive and consultant. Currently, he advises various stakeholders in the entertainment eco-system with respect to content and distribution, talent acquisition, digital media, advertising and marketing, IP/licensing, investment capital, event production, and venue operation and development.
Prior to consulting, Adam played a key role in building and growing some of the most iconic brands in live entertainment including Nederlander, House of Blues, and Universal Concerts. In a range of senior level positions including CEO, EVP/Division Head, SVP of Business Development and SVP of Business and Legal Affairs, he oversaw the development, operation, and programming of award winning event venues across North America and is a past President of the North American Concert Promoters Association.
With a career of advising and strategizing as a lawyer, senior executive and consultant, he is an experienced dealmaker who knows how to close. At the same time, Adam is a team player who understands organizations, executives and boards and the importance of collaboration with respect to maximizing results. He is well connected in the music space with access to major talent, content producers and programmers, music companies, digital media firms, marketing companies, venue operators, and top decision makers across these groups. He often works side by side with other client consultants and has access to other specialists as a given project may require.
Adam also sits on the Advisory Boards of Ampsy, a social media aggregation firm, Songlily, an on-line music licensing marketplace, and Universal Production Music (a division of Universal Music Group). He is current on the convergence of media and technology.
Adam started his career as a Real Estate Attorney at Rudnick & Wolfe in Chicago (now DLA Piper).
